(0332) 248 40 00Atatürk House Museum, a two-storey historical building built in 1912 on Atatürk Street; cut, made of rubble stone and brick. The house, which was registered in the name of the treasury in 1923, was used as the Governor's Mansion and was allocated to Atatürk when he came to Konya. The house, which was bought by the Konya Municipality from the treasury in 1927, was registered in the name of Atatürk on 19.7.1928 as an expression of the gratitude of the people of Konya to Atatürk and its title deed was "A gift from the people of Konya to the President, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha." has been registered. The house, which was purchased for a symbolic price by the Konya Special Administration in 1940, was turned into the Governor's Mansion again and was used as the Governor's Mansion until 1963.
In 1963, the building was transferred to the Ministry of National Education and repaired, and a year later, on 17 December 1964, it was opened to visitors under the name "Atatürk House-Culture Museum". Atatürk Museum was restored by the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, upon the requests of the Presidency of the Provincial Celebration Committee on the 100th anniversary of Atatürk's birth, and its exhibition and arrangement were made again, and it was renamed the "Atatürk Museum" on April 17, 1982. opened to visitors. In the arrangement of the museum, the feature of using the building as a house was taken into consideration, so no changes were made that would spoil its architectural feature. In the museum, the place of Konya and the people of Konya in the War of Independence was tried to be explained with documents and photographs. In the exhibition in the lower and upper halls of the museum, integrity was tried to be ensured with the panel and showcase, and Atatürk's visits to Konya were explained with documents and photographs belonging to the pre-Republican era on the ground floor. On the panels, documents showing Atatürk's arrival in Konya, his visits to the city, the daily notes he kept in this house, photographs and newspaper clippings are exhibited. In the showcases, some clothes belonging to Atatürk and various items used in this house are exhibited.
